Bullous Pemphigoid
Bullous Pemphigoid (BP) is an autoimmune blistering condition in which antibodies against the hemidesmosomal proteins are formed leading the immune system to attack the skin. BP can present on any body surface, but only 10-30% of patients have mucous membrane involvement. It can present with tense bullae and/or non-bullous lesions including localized or generalized urticarial plaques and erythematous papules/plaques.
